This is a very different looking Link than past games! There’s certainly elements of previous dress that carried over to keep his character consistent, though. The most startling change is the color of the tunic, and the missing cap! Nintendo was rethinking the conventions of Zelda, which is what led to this particular incarnation of Link to look so different. Part of the reason Link’s cap was omitted is that the game developers found the physics system in the game made the cap’s movements “look silly”.
